Anyone suffering from these ailments which are unrelenting and unresponsive to conventional medications might have overactive mast cells.  Normally these cells are switched on to deal with infections however when the immune system becomes overwhelmed by an armada of invading microbes mast cells go into overdrive releasing a salvo of chemicals that can flood our brains, irritate our intestines, make our legs twitch uncontrollably and our skin itch incessantly.  The trick is to identify the source of our mast cell frenzy and neutralise it before it drives un insane.  Aside from enemy organisms, mould,  food allergies and various drugs could be overstimulating our mast cells.
