Plant based diets and our mental health

Plant based diets might help to reduce planetary warming.   When ruminants or cows burp or emit flatus billions of gallons of methane are released every day which contributes sizably to heating up the planet.  Then there’s the potential benefit to our mental health or at least that of our offspring.  Recent research conducted on children indicates that diets high in animal-based foods which increase acidity are associated with emotional difficulties and hyperactivity.   They can also raise blood pressure and have adverse effects on memory.  What they do is increase stress hormones which further raise acid levels, anathema to healthy brain function.  Aside from curbing the number of cows who like to sound off and fry the universe a plant-based diet might be salubrious for our emotions and our brain function.
